Description: I had my great grandparents 1909 county directory for all of Van Wert County. It literally was disinigrating in my hands. The pages were crunchy and would just crumble if not careful. It took me almost 3 days and a lot of copy paper and ink cartridges but I have saved it by photocopying it before it was gone. I have it in a 3 ring black binder now. This directory is from 1909 for all of Van Wert County which includes cites of: van wert, Delphos, Ohio City, Willshire, Convoy, Middle Point, Scott, Wren, Venedocia, Harrison Township, Hoaglin Township, Jackson Township, Jennings Township, Liberty Township, Pleasant Township, Ridge township, Tully Township, Union Township, Washington Township, Willshire Township, York Township. Throughout the whole thing, full page ads for businesses here in town in 1909 are scattered on the pages. So awesome so see all these. To see names of people who are no longer a name you hear anymore around here. Even neater is looking at all the jobs people did at that time beside their names. For example: boiler cleaner, picture show, saw mill, oil pumper, & oil field boss (where did Ohio city have oil), telegraph operator, hoop coiler and do many more you don't hear exist anymore. Definitely something to keep passing down in your family. The ads are the best! Can be picked up on N Washington St in Van Wert. Or I will ship it out to whoever buys this.
