Description: This vintage Halloween postcard features a Jack-O-Lantern Man, Moon, in a series 2097 printed on embossed paper in Germany in 1909. The postcard is standard size (5.5 x 3.5 in) and was posted in 1913. The lithograph design is from the Divided Back Era (1907-1915) and the postcard is an original, not a licensed reprint. The postcard is in very good condition,. The postcard is perfect for collectors of vintage Halloween memorabilia and lovers of the holiday. It is a great addition to any collection and a unique way to celebrate the occasion. The following was shared with me and I find it very interesting and wish to share with others. This card actually depicts an old Scottish Halloween custom of rolling your yarn ball into the fire to prognosticate your future husband. ( apparently girls carried around their “ winding” ball). This artist depicted several of these customs in this series…. Like the lurie bowl. *****PLEASE NOTE - $3.50 SHIPPING FEE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING*****ALL OF MY HALLOWEEN POSTCARDS WILL BE PLACED IN A CLEAR PLASTIC SLEEVE, AS WELL AS A HARD PLASTIC TOPLOAD, & SHIPPED IN A CARDBOARD MAILER TO INSURE A SAFE DELIVERY.
