Description: A fair to good copy of this novel featuring "Aunt Jane," who became a famous character from her first novel and especially with a recommendation publicly from Theodore Roosevelt. Book is warped from being stored improperly; some bumped corners of pages also (please see photos). Covers and spine have some fading and signs of wear; number sticker on inside cover and name of a library in ink on flyleaf (no other visible markings associated with a library, however). Protective tissue between frontispiece and title page is badly creased/crumpled. Hinges cracked but binding (warped) is pretty firm. A few minor spots within the text but mostly clear and good. First edition by Little, Brown & Co. Note: I try to identify any flaws in books as much as possible. Sometimes a photo will catch something that I hadn't noticed when making the listing--so it's good practice to look at the photographs as well as to read the listing. I want buyers to be pleased with what they buy! Thanks for looking
