Description: Here is an incredible surviving piece of pre-prohibition history. This fantastic print of Angelo Asti’s “lady with the red flower“ was used to advertise a Cuban soda named “ironbeer“. It was distributed as a mixer in the Cincinnati area by the Geo Bieler & Sons Company, best known for their Brookfield Rye whiskey. The company did not survive prohibition, and very few pieces of their advertising exists today. Side note: the Italian artist, Angelo Asti, actually lived in Cincinnati during the late 1800’s. It’s possible they used his art because the families were acquainted. The lithographic print appears to be in its original gilded frame. It does have a few condition issues, but shows nicely on the wall. In total, it measures roughly 21.5” X 18.5”. This is an absolutely stunning piece of pre-prohibition advertising. Don’t miss your opportunity to own it!
