It is marked "Royal Baby Plate, Patented U.S. Feb 1, 1905, Great Britain, France, Germany, Canada 1903, Made in U.S.A." on the back in gold gilding. is beige with gold gilding on the top & bottom rims. In the center is a large transfer design of children with a chicken & the nursery rhyme, Higgledy Piggledy. Around the sides are 4 small characters. It measures 8-7/8" in diameter & the bowl portion is 6-1/4" in diameter. It is in very good, vintage condition. No chips or cracks. It shows age related glaze crazing, discoloration under the glaze & in the glaze craze lines. The gilded trim is worn. Charming!
