Description: SYNDETIKON | KLEBT, LEIMT, KITTET ALLES A wonderful original Cinderella stamp created ca. 1902-4 by the German graphic artist and craftswoman Clara Möller-Coburg. Möller-Coburg, who took the second part of her surname from the town of her birth in Bavaria, worked in the Steglitzer workshop in Berlin in the early 1900s alongside her future husband Fritz Helmuth Ehmcke. She built up the embroidery and fashion department but also undertook commercial graphics commissions, of which this charming advertising stamp is an example. The Berlin chemicals firm Otto Ring & Co. was one long-standing client and both Möller-Coburg and Ehmcke provided numerous designs to promote their Syndetikon multi-purpose glue in particular. Please see my other listings for several examples of Syndetikon advertising by both designers (and others). Ehmcke's decision to accept an invitation from Peter Behrens to teach at the Düsseldorf School of Applied Arts in 1905 lead Möller-Coburg to switch to working freelance, designing textiles, children's clothing and toys for the Deutsche Werkstätten (German Workshops) among others. Notably Möller-Coburg also created carpets and curtains for the book room designed by Ehmcke at the Third German Arts and Crafts Exhibition in Dresden in 1906. Sadly, she died of Spanish Flu in 1918. Payment is required within 7 days. It has become necessary to offer only tracked forms of postage for high value items. This is because of the increasing number of instances of attempted fraud and I'm acting on unequivocal advice that I have received from eBay and Paypal. Please be assured that the postage options shown are calculated at cost, with a minimal handling fee to cover packaging materials for larger items. I always pack to a professional standard; please see my feedback page for customer testimonies. If you have any questions about any of this please contact me. Non-paymentAll non-paying bidders are, without exception, reported to eBay. This is not for the sake of being vindictive, but because eBay charges retrospective fees calculated on the actual sale price of items and this money needs to be retrieved. It's hard enough to make ends meet on here as it is! Thank you for your understanding. Please refer to eBay's policy on non-payment for more information, including its ramifications for the bidder.Condition of itemsPlease note that, unless clearly stated otherwise, my listings are for vintage/antique items and therefore, by definition, are not going to be in the same condition you would expect from a brand new item. Please be assured that I always endeavour to offer the most accurate description possible of the item's condition and take multiple illustrative photographs. Vintage electrical itemsVintage electrical items are sold in their original condition without electrical guarantee, so must always be safety checked by a qualified electrician (in the country of intended use) before use.
