Description: This is a very pretty 19" American Character Sweet Sue Sophisticate or Toni doll dressed for a nice dinner party. She was made in the late 1950s with vinyl body. Doll does not look to be played with just displayed or stored away...but she is not perfect nor mint. She has dark brunette hair (which is more rare) with original flowers...back flattened from storage. She has nice facial coloring with blue eyes. Sometimes her left eye looks a bit off and other times it looks OK. I think it opens wider than the right eye...just wanted to mention that. Doll is wearing her black lace overlay ivory party dress with ivory chiffon-like shoulder drapes. Dress snaps down back. Underneath are her pink panties with black trim and her red slip with black trim. She is wearing stockings and heels. I think all of her clothing, stockings, and heels are original. The heels show some age wear. She is wearing pearl earrings, pearl brooch and ring. Doll has the round American Character logo on her lower back. No offensive odors.
