Description: Sometimes prices go down, but never until we have a fair amount of watchers, so please watch if interested but not ready to buy.___________________________________________________ ITEM- 1890-1900 French Dollhouse Miniature Louis XVI Style Painting signed Mareqfoy DESCRIPTION- Gloriously hand painted lady likely painted on ivor_(ine), in a brass frame with a fabulous old patina. These usually aren't signed or the signature is illegible, but this one is clear. I researched Maregfoy & couldn't find any info but did find two other examples that sold at auction. This is hanging by a small baby blue ribbon to match the painting, as these were often hung on ribbon in full scale at that time but this could be removed and it could be hung up with sticky tack or wax. It really is gorgeously painted & is a fabulous diminutive size, just wonderful for all kind of interiors & I love the border around the frame. See also the larger similar painting I have listed. Measures 2 & 5/16" tall X 1 & 9/16" wide. NOTE- Unfortunately, I fell on a hike & fractured my left wrist & broke a small bone off & I can barely type, so my descriptions will be much shorter until healed except for what I can copy & paste or already had saved. It's sad because I really like describing these great items & their talented makers, but the pain is just too much.
