Description: Here is a rare book that is hard to find, but it's just an author's first fiction work. 1887 published by the St. Joseph Steam Printing Co. out of Missouri, this is Light Out of Darkness or The Blue and the Gray by Ida Wood Stevens. 189 pages, measuring about 7 3/8 inches tall. The publisher mainly did Civil War era stuff around Kentucky and the South and this is no different, looks to be a fiction with some soldiers from the South but maybe a more romantic appeal. Quite a bit of wear with page yellowing and some stains here and there, and the cover is really worn but solidly attached, but threadbare along the edges. This will be more clear than the digital photo shows. The high bidder is to pay for shipping, international shipping will be much more, sorry but the P.O. drastically increased postage for international packages - please email for a quote before bidding.
