Collated, complete.Joules Gouffe's work as a renowned chef and patissier had a significant impact on the evolution of French gastronomy. He was nicknamed 'the apostle of decorative cuisine' by the French culinary scene for his vast knowledge of food, with his legacy is still vibrant amongst the chefs of today. CONDITION Rebound in a signed half morocco binding, with paper covered board. Housed in a slipcase of paper covered boards. Externally, exceptionally smart, with fading to back strip. Binders stamp to recto of front free endpaper. Slipcase is rubbed to extremities, with small losses to marbled paper in these areas. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, and generally clean. A few scattered patches of light spotting throughout, most concentrated to first few pages.
