Description: Antique Set of Victorian Style French Pocket Doors - Circa 1885 Quarter Sawn Oak Architectural Salvage. The overall dimensions are 60 1/2" x 98 1/2" x 2 1/8" thick. This french pocket door set is extremely rare and very ornate. It has twelve lites on each door, each with applied molding, and it has a single raised raised upper panel on each side with very ornate applied molding in the Victorian Style. It is solid Quarter-Sawn Oak and is a very formal set that was removed between the entrance hall and the front parlor. This is a wonderful set that has the original shellac (varnish) finish on both sides, each with an absolutely beautiful aged patina. This pocket door is absolutely beautiful and is ready for installation! This is in Great condition with a beautiful patina and is ready for use on your restoration project.
