CONDITION is key to these rare, old books. This book has it in spades. 7.25" Width X 11" Height x 3.25" Spine Weight: 7.5 lbs CONDITION - The Fine Print:Original binding; spine still tight, strong. Smooth soft buckskin feel tan hide, thin shamy covered front & back also in great cond for age showing some color variations, however, wonderfully aged patina. Book's foremost front & back areas each display 2 pgs of early hand crafted red -marbled, heavy lining paper, remaining in excellent cond. A minor front cover peel has been repaired nicely (still showing in pic #7, now gone) & one corner has tip of frame exposed, otherwise .. very, very good for an 1855 large American historological book such as this. Interior's 1004 pages are free of tears, rips, handwriting, notes, etc. Overall, GREAT interior in exceptionally fine condition. NnLast 100 pg area show intermittent pages w/slight, small transluscent spots .. not detracting from reading text.
