It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main pic. Le Tour du Monde was published from 1860-1914 and was a popular travel journal sold in bookstores as well as in the kiosks of railroad stations. It was dedicated to travel and exploration ranging from the discovery of the source of the Nile to the conquests of the Poles. The prints were designed by "the most celebrated artists of the day" as boasted on the Tour du Monde title pages, and were designed based on first hand expedition reports, sketches and photographs by renown explorers and travelers of the day. This print is from the article, "Voyage dans le Soudan Occidental" by M. Mage, Lieutenant de Vaisseau (1868, Premier Semestre). Size: The image area measures 6 1/4 by 9 (16x23cm) page measures 8 by 11 3/4" (20x30cm) with a margin all around as seen in the main pic. Condition: The print is in Very Good to Excellent, text on reverse, very clean on a bright page that would frame up well, see the pics for more on the condition. The pics are of the actual print.
