Description: Patriotic Civil War Token Fuld 195/378a (copper) R-3 Very Nice UNC Very Late Obverse Die State The dies for this token were prepared by two different New York City token makers. The obverse die was created by Emil Sigel and it was used in combination with two other Sigel dies for token production. The reverse die was created by Louis Roloff and his name appears on the die. The reverse die was also used in combination with two other Sigel dies for token production. This has led to a conclusion that this token was struck in the shop of Emil Sigel. Note that Sigel's obverse die is near its end of life. In addition to numerous die cracks, there is an edge cud at near the 12:00 position and there are small internal cuds developing within the digits of the date that appear as raised bumps on the token. It is an interesting token struck from dies prepared by two different token makers as the obverse die was failing. This is an attractive uncirculated specimen.Shipping is free. Should this token fail to meet your expectations, it can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. Sales tax, if applicable, is collected by Ebay and submitted directly to state authorities.
