Description: It is an authentic engraved antique map approximately 156 years old, blank on reverse, with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. It is by Felix Ansart, from his Atlas Historique et Geographique Ancien Et Moderne (Paris, circa 1860), a copy of the title page is included. The title of the atlas and F. Ansart appear in the upper margin. Overall a very well preserved rare map with nice strong color and an antique appearance that would frame up very well. Beautiful Color! Size: The image/text area measures approximately 9 x 12 inches (23x30cm) on an 11 1/2 by 17 inch page (29x43cm) with a margin all around, as seen in the main pic. Condition: It is in Very Good condition for its age with overall light tonal ageing on a buff color paper with original handcoloring and a centerfold as issued. Other than some minor browning around the edges, its very clean with strong color and an antique appearance that many desire, see the pics for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map.
