Description: This auction offers a very early textbook titled Ray's Practical Arithmetic. It was published by Van Antwerp, Bragg and Co. and has a copyright date of 1857. The interior of the book is in good condition. Notice the tears on lower section in one of the pictures. This goes thru several pages without any paper loss. The exterior is worn with spine cover missing, corners bumped, and all edges rubbed. The printed information (title, etc.) is very rubbed and hard to read on both front and back cover, yet the bind remains tight and firm. There are names and other pencil marks on inside covers. Still an unusual and rare find. The content offered a student at the given age level is remarkable!
