Robert William Billings (1813 – 14 November 1874) was an English painter and architect. Trained as a topographical draughtsman, he wrote and illustrated many books early in his career, before concentrating on his architectural practice. PROVENANCE: Produced for the part-work “Baronial and Ecclesiastical Antiquities of Scotland”, published between 1845 and 1852. TYPE: Antique steel plate engraving printed on paper.
