Description: This no reserve auction is for an original antique whale oil lamp from the pre Civil War 1840s-1850s era. Hand blown ringed or beehive font, made with heavy leaded flint glass and has the rough pontil and wear on the bottom and some occlusions in the glass. Has an original fine line brass collar with 7/8” threads. Measures 5 5/8” tall and 3 1/4” across the bottom. In excellent condition - free of chips and cracks.
