Description: Here we have a Hymn book dated 1849 with a handwritten note in the cover 'Lillie Hatter from her mother 3/30 1874'. Found string tied with the book was this old (mercury?) photo which we presume is Lillie. The binding of the book is split and the brass latch is missing - see pic. The cover of the photo is missing and picture is faded - see pic.
