Description: This is an early 3 mold blown ribbed condiment sauce bottle from the mid 1800s that is grouped by McKearin as GI-7, Type 3. An example is pictured on page 247, plate 84 of "American Glass" by McKearin.....The bottle is hand blown in 3 part mold...early flat smooth base....clear...thick heavy flint glass....round....ribbed pattern with waist....6 1/4"tall...Excellent condition with no chips or damage. I could not get the lid off, so not sure if it has a threaded collar or sheared mouth?...We just cant keep everything, so after 50 years of digging and collecting we have decided to part with many of our bottles (to make room for more..haha)...so keep watching our listings as many rare treasures are being found! ....
