Description: I have here for sale a book entitled THE WORKS OF THE REV. ANDREW FULLER Late of Kettering, Northamptonshire, Vols II, III, IV and VIII of an 8-volume set. First editions published in 1824 by B J Holdsworth, London. Vol II contains 31 discourses on various religious subjects Vol III contains The Gospel, Its Own Witness or The Holy Nature and Divine Harmony of the Christian Religion contrasted with the Immorality and Absurdity of Deism; Vol IV contains Dialogues, Letters and Essays on Various Subjects Vol VIII contains Miscellanies consisting of Magazine Papers, Sketches of Sermons, Association Letters, Tracts, etc. Bound in half brown calf leather on brown marbled hardboards. Gilt bands and motifs, black leather title blocks and gilt lettering to the spines. Some cracks to the leather and the corners are worn but all boards firm. At some point the spines have been covered with a clear plastic protective layer. Pages all firm. Page edges are spotted but the pages themselves are clean. Vols IV & VIII have some foxing to the prelims and flyleaf. Condition: very good. Vol II - 408 pages, Vol III - 678 pages, Vol IV - 618 pages, Vol VIII - 713 pages. 22 x 13 cm.
