Augustus Pugin was an English architect, artist and critic, best known for his work within the Gothic-Revival movement. Notable designs by Pugin include the Palace of Westminster and the Elizabeth Tower, commonly referred to as Big Ben. CONDITION In quarter a morocco binding with a portion of the original spine. Externally, smart with some shelf wear to the edges. Marks to the boards. Hinges starting but firm. Age-toning and light spotting to the paste-downs and free endpapers. Light offsetting to the paste-downs. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with age-toning and spotting throughout. Spotting heavier to the engraved title pages.
