Description: This is a listing for a group of 18+2 Neocaridina Shrimp Culls from a Yellow Fireback shrimp colony! Culled shrimp are just not of optimal coloring/patterning but can still display lots of color! The images above are a good representation of the diversity of the colony, each one is unique in its own way which is sort of neat! Most likely the culls will will be either greenish or just not have the fireback stripe/a not fully-formed stripe, so they'll roughly be yellow shrimp, haha! I'm hoping to send some of these little guys to good homes as I pare down my colonies as they're healthy little active dudes and I'd like them to live out long happy lives! Neo Shrimp are definitely one of the most popular aquatic animals in the hobby and rightfully so! They have awesome colors and are quite amusing to watch as they go about their everyday activities. There's nothing quite like watching a planted tank full of shrimp just doing their little shrimpy things. Neocaridinas are not picky at all when it comes to water parameters, as long as it's stable and there aren't huge swings in params. Recommended temp between 70-80 degrees F, and a ph of at least 7.0 with some gh and kh, but again, these guys are super adaptable. These particular shrimp have been raised at 78% F with a ph of 7.6, kh of 2 and gh of 7 but should do well in any water at least a little similar to this! They are very peaceful and don't pose any harm to any other species. They do fall prey to a lot of fish in the hobby as they are a small crustacean. Some good safe tank mates include snails, endlers, corydoras, and other small nano fish that might have a hard time fitting them in their mouths. These guys top out at about 1 inch for females and 3/4 inch for males. The ones you will be receiving will somewhere around the half inch mark most likely as younger shrimp typically adjust to new surroundings/water much easier than the full-grown ones. All home-bred and raised! I know you'll love your shrimp as much as I love mine! -Pictures above show the diversity of the shrimp you will be receiving.-All will be somewhere in the 1/2 inch vicinity of length.-Shrimp are shipped via USPS Priority Mail in insulated boxes with a heat pack if necessary.-Shrimp are shipped in breather bags, so please do NOT float the bags in your tank, so the shrimp have as much available oxygen as possible!-18+2 meaning 2 (or more) extra in case there are any casualties along the way. -I only ship out on Mondays (or Tuesdays if it is a holiday week) to lessen the chances of your shrimp getting delayed in the mail, and to get them to you ASAP!-If the weather in your area has lows below freezing and/or highs below 40 on the days of transit, I will delay shipping until the weather is warmer. DOA Policy: In the unlikely occurrence that your shrimp arrive DOA, please simply take at least 2 pictures of the UNOPENED bag showing the dead shrimp (and any alive) within the first 2 hours of the first delivery attempt and I will be happy to either replace them or refund you. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask! :D
