This map was first issued in 1812 but the Lewis imprint indicates a later printing.SIZE: The printed area of the map is approximately 10 x 14 cm , 4 x 5.5 inches (small) plus margins. ARTIST/CARTOGRAPHER/ENGRAVER: Engraved by James Wallis. PROVENANCE: This map first appeared in Wallis's 'New Pocket Edition of the English Counties or Traveller's Companion'. in 1812. A little later it re-appeared as Lewis's New Traveller's Guide from where this example is taken. This was the final use of this map.TYPE: Antique engraving printed on paper. VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse side which is blank.CONDITION: Good; suitable for framing. Please check the scan for any blemishes prior to making your purchase.
