Description: Antique Victorian Philip Ashberry Britannia Tea Pot Sheffield Patent w/ Expansion Bottom Silver teapot with hinged lid with removable spire top, spout with built in filter, sturdy handle and tiny felt pads on bottom (added mid century) to avoid scratches on furniture while displayed, etc. Unsure if real silver or just another other silver toned metal. Could be silver plated. Original patina adds to its antique charm, but could be polished up for a cleaner appearance if desired, though it is not recommended. Standard sized. Exact measurements shown in photos. Bottom is stamped with authentic, etched Sheffield emblem & stamp as well as “Expansion Bottom” stamped underneath. Inside of lid is also stamped and has an old wing nut that can be unscrewed for deep cleaning or to allow more steam out of the top. Good condition. No major dents or cosmetic damage noted. Inside has some rust, but just needs to be cleaned up. Smoke free home.
