This is an original Alfred Dawson etching. This impression was hand pulled form the copper plate more than 120 years ago. The strike is crisp and the lines are sharp. Extra Information: Alfred Dawson was a nineteenth century British etcher and painter of landscapes and topographical views. He was the son of Henry Dawson (1811-1878) and younger brother of Henry Thomas Dawson. He studied under his father who was a marine and landscape painter. Alfred exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1860 until 1889. Dawson also exhibited at Suffolk Street and the British Institute as well as at various other venues throughout the British Isles.
