Description: I bought this in 1965 at famed Fortuny on New York’s Fifth Avenue. Beads are garnets. Per my memory and my current jeweler's opinion, the gold beads are 18k but we cannot find Maker’s Mark, so will call it 14k gold. Clasp is either 14k or 18k. Necklace hardly worn, perfect condition. Will not need restringing. Necklace measures 15.5" long when doubled, 31.5" when open. Garnets are a rich deep burgundy color. A great find and a family treasure to pass down for generations. My jeweler just appraised for $2000. Handling charge of $6 is to cover insurance on the package. PLUS: I get that eBay is a garage sale, not Neiman Marcus. My prices are waaaay below everyone else’s.
