Description: 17.5” Black Country Dressage w/ FLAIR Panels 17.5” Black Country Dressage w/ FLAIR Panels This is such a nice, quality saddle. From one of our favorite saddle brands, Black Country, a name that is known for quality. This one is a bit older, but don't tell it that. It's been well maintained and had some cool upgrades. A true 17.5" with a shallower and wider seat, narrow twist, and slightly forward set flaps. Per the flap, this one is on a Medium tree, but measures 5" fitting on the wide side of Medium, almost true to a MW. Wider channel, a bit of curve to the tree, and ample wither clearance. Moderate long blocks to help keep its rider secure without being confining with deep set stirrup bars to avoid bulk. Farther set rear billet, quasi-point billet that is set half way up the flap and not quite as far forward as a true point, securing the saddle well. Billets are in very good condition. Very short panel at just 19". Normally, Black Country saddles are wool flocked...this one has been replaced with FLAIR panels. What are FLAIR panels you ask? FLAIR is an air bag system made up of 4 foam wrapped air bags that are durable, flexible, and easy to adjust with about any air pump you can find. Made popular by the incredible WOW Saddlery, FLAIR is designed to be an active adjustment flocking system for your horse. This is a nice saddle, one that is affordable and quality. It shows age and use typical use but nothing crazy. It has been in storage for a while, so is just a bit dry, but at this price, its worth spending some time conditioning it while you watch the newest season of your favorite show on Hulu.
