Description: Here we have a very large Olive Jar shard that measures 9" long and weighs 1 pound and 3 oz.. An amazing display piece of nautical history. The state tag is still attached with the original fishing line that I used on larger artifacts that would not fit in bags. Recovered by my small crew and I in 2007 from the Spanish treasure fleet that sunk off the Florida coast in 1715. You get the shard and the original state tag that are in the first set of five pictures. I had a contract to work this area and document all the artifacts, several of which went to the museum in Tallahassee. The Mel Fisher group also kept their share of the artifacts recovered. I will also include a personal certificate of authenticity. Pictures 6,7 and 8 show some of the other artifacts we recovered from the wreck sites. The last three pictures are from the Corrigans wreck site where this shard was collected; showing a canon, some ballast stones and me in the last picture locating artifacts ( and a whole lot of junk :) with a metal detector. A search on the net will give you more information on these wrecks; including all the silver, gold and jewels lost with over 900 lives in this horrible maritime accident. A fantastic piece of New World history, this is an authentic artifact and has not been restored or altered in any way. There is a satisfaction guaranteed return policy on all my items, if you are not satisfied for any reason please return the item for a full refund.
