Description: In 1903 in Kenya, John Gale (Van Heflin) a tough European settler is the leader of a group trying to catch the ruthless escaped convict McCracken (Van Heflin), who is using one of the local evil Numbuki tribe to control the jungle and thus threatens Gale's interests. On the way, Gale helps McCracken's brother (Howard Duff), his school teacher wife (Ruth Roman) and their two children who were raided by the Numbukis.
