Description: Vintage, used 16mm film print of the 1955 feature film "Picnic" directed by Joshua Logan, written by William Inge, and starring WIlliam Holden, Kim Novak, Cliff Robertson, Rosalind Russell, Susan Strasberg, Nick Adams, Arthur O'Connell, Verna Felton,, and Reta Shaw. Holden plays a drifter who ambles into a small town on the occassion of the annual Labor Day picnic, sparking a variety of emotional reactions from the town's residents. Includes the chart-topping instrumental hit "Moonglow" played against the backdrop of Holden and Novak performing a sensual dance. This is a Fuji print with a fair amount of fade and the Fuji purple-ish hue. Complete with occassional lines and specks. A few splices, but nothing intrusive. All in all a good screening. No detectable VS.
