Seaport towns are most densely noted along the coasts of India. The Singapore Strait appears to be misunderstood as a narrow channel cutting through the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. Several false lakes are included in Chinae and India Extra Gangem. This fantastic work is embellished with two strap-work cartouches, a decorative distance scale, and vignettes of an oriental junk, a European sailing vessel and a ferocious sea monster in the Bay of Bengal. Latin text on the verso, pages 337-338. Condition: Map is in very good condition with full margins and superb hand coloring. Top left corner has chipped off with no loss near the image or text.
