Description: This hard-to-find model came out a good 20 years ago. It's a Quartzo 1:43rd scale March 711 sponsored by STP Oil of the USA. It's got the classic "STP red" livery. The driver is Sweden's Ronnie Peterson. It does not come with the white sleeve and I'm not sure it ever came with one. It has the original white Quartzo product label on the side of the acrylic case. The certificate of authenticity also comes with the model; these are often missing from old Quartzo models. This specific car is from the 1971 Italian Grand Prix, in which Ronnie finished in 2nd place only a car length or less behind the winning BRM of Peter Gethin; one of the closest finishes in Grand Prix history. This model is one of the most sought after of the Quartzo releases due to this exciting finish. Quartzo strangely never put out any BRM models designed by the famous Tony Southgate; very sad since they'd have sold like hotcakes. The acrylic top has no scratches but could use a gentle buffing with Novus cleaner.
