There is a small problem. The glue they used, over a half century ago in Hong Kong, emulsified and reflowed, sitting in a hot warehouse for decades. Consequently, they don’t work. Some are even glued together and need carefully cut apart. The display of them looks exceptional. The colorful cardboard box they come in folds out with a back marquis that features a little boy and girl playing with one of the “Singing Birds”. Just as a display, they are an attractive set. The glue reflowed and all the parts came loose over a long period of time. Some of the cages are even stuck together with glue that oozed. The fix is simple; Just remove the old glue and re-glue them. We made a 5 minute “You Tube” video showing how we repaired some. The box is typical of store display boxes. It is in excellent condition with expected age & handling patina. “Point of Sale” collectors appreciate the era graphics and Marquis display style. We promise it will look great. You will also probably be able to repair many of them easily. Note: This toy display was made before many toy and safety laws existed.
