They are UL and CSA approved for connecting a wide variety of insulated and uninsulated copper wires. Unlike many other wire connectors, no pre-twisting of the wires is needed. Simply strip the wires as instructed, hold the ends together evenly, and twist on a connector. Appears to be a high quality product. *For added excitement, simply omit step #1 below.
