All of these corms/bulbils are freshly dug from my own personal herb and vegetable garden. The first photos, show the size of the bulbils and the other photos show what the bulbils will look like at maturity. It is important to remember that garlic grows best in well-drained, moisture-retentive soil, that has a pH between 6.0 and 7.0. Garlic cloves/bulbs/bulbils can be planted in the fall one or two weeks after the first killing frost. If they are planted in late summer or fall, you can harvest the garlic between late June and late July, depending on the climate zone that you live in. You can also plant garlic during the warmer months, making sure to cover with a layer of leaves, straw, or mulch to help the soil retain moisture during the drier weather of summer. If you love to plant vegetables during the winter, make sure to plant the garlic bulbs a little bit deeper and cover with leaves, straw, or mulch to help protect them from colder weather. This will ensure you have an abundance of garlic for your harvests during the growing season. To help the bulbs underground grow to a larger size, just simply cut off the scapes (the bloom) prior to the garlic blooming out. This method will also increase your harvest, and also help the smaller size bulbils, grow larger. These bulbils are a must-have for anyone who loves garlic or growing an herb garden.
