Description: 1 Rare Large Awesome Antique Chestnut Wood Board 6 1/2 X 35 X 7/8" Lot XX13 Salvaged from an antique 1880 dresser. It is about 140 years old and highly prized for its wavy grain pattern and natural honey color. It looks somewhat like oak, is considerably lighter and easier to work. One side was wetted with thinner to show the true color of the wood and grain. Chestnut is nearly extinct now and is very hard to come by. This board has been planed and sanded on two sides.
